Accounting Analyst III

Details: SUMMARY : will be responsible for monitoring and reconciling our WD Credit Reinsurance accounts, VSC Funds Held Accounts, in addition to acting in a support role for our Reinsurance Staff Accountants. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide service and support to internal and external customers, including but not limited to, printing and reviewing Credit, VSC & GAP Cession Statements, and prepping WD Credit, VSC and GAP monthly cession data for scanning, handling occasional inquiries from our internal Sales staff and agents. (20%) Complete data entry for monthly WD Credit reinsurance registers & WD VSC Funds Held reinsurance registers, balance them against the General Ledger, and update and complete the equivalent AssureNET accounts. Input and upload any necessary journal entries into our Smart Stream ledger system. Data entry input on other spreadsheets on an as needed basis. (20%) Collate and sort monthly WD Credit, VSC & GAP cession statements with the corresponding monthly paid claim register, and. Collate and email and/or mail monthly cession statement packages for WD Credit, VSC & GAP. (20%) for WD Credit, VSC & GAP. (10%) Settle amounts due to/from custodians (wires/deficiency letters). (10%) Update monthly trust balances for all WD Credit VSC & GAP custodial accounts. (10%) Assist in monthly MAX Reinsurance table maintenance (CRA Retro setups), and assist in preparation of the monthly WD Credit Worksheet files. Data entry in any necessary monthly reinsurance change reports, including our monthly Reinsurance Bible listing, and monthly reasonableness table, and 816 comparison file. Prep data for outside accountants, internal and external audit, and other duties as assigned.
