Perform radiation and contamination monitoring in all areas of a nuclear power plant using portable and fixed radiation detection equipment. Provide on- and off-site radiation and contamination monitoring support to the Emergency Response Organization during drills or actual emergencies. Communicate radiological hazards to plant personnel through posting, tagging, pre-job briefings with workers, radiation work permit review and job site surveys. Perform job coverage activities in all areas of a nuclear power plant which requires working in extreme temperatures, climbing, respiratory protection equipment, lifting, walking and directing work crews. Assist in training and qualifying other radiation protection personnel.
