Broom Street Wilmington, DE Position : Communications Coordinator and Office Administrator Summary : This position is an important link between the congregation and the community. The person holding this position must be able to communicate effectively with the congregation and its constituent parts and must present the caring image of the Church to its members as well as the public. The person holding this position is responsible for the efficient operation of the Church office, as well as for providing support services to the Pastor(s), other Church staff, Congregation Council, and ministry mission teams. The person holding this position operates with considerable latitude for judgment and decision-making, depending on the activity. The position requires creativity, initiative, tact, and integrity. Responsibilities: • Manage congregation communications o create and distribute professional and polished communications; o maintain, update and creatively expand the congregation web site; o expand the social media presence of the congregation. • Manage the congregation office o operate all equipment assigned to the office, including computers, copiers and printers; o communicate pastoral concerns to the pastor; o direct and monitor Sexton’s work; o provide Food Pantry referrals as appropriate to individuals seeking that support; o maintain a central calendar and schedule facilities for meetings and special events; o monitor the office budget and create an annual budget proposal; o handle requests in absence of the Pastor(s); o monitor and maintain files, and other records. Nature of the Position: The Communications Coordinator/Office Administrator must: • have rapid and effective response to conflicting priorities and sudden changes in workloads; • operate with minimum instruction, clarify instruction as needed, and be flexible in handling last minute changes; • work well with all other organizations and personnel, especially office volunteers; • handle unforeseen difficulties, delays and problems quickly, smoothly and effectively; • function effectively in an environment which is schedule driven and has a significant number of interruptions; • be able to determine personal performance areas needing improvement and to seek out appropriate training [with the support and consent of the Pastor(s)]. Reach Operator/ Order Picker Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will: • Have a minimum of 1 year of experience, prior freezer experience a plus but not required. • Be able to demonstrate proficiency with the Crown family of equipment • Be proficient at reading customer orders, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved/pulled • Accurately, efficiently, and safely pulls product, assembles orders, and secures packaging • Demonstrates the ability to sort and place product on racks, shelves or in bins • Properly document non-conforming goods or damaged product • Introduces incoming product into the storage system by processing paperwork, having storage space assigned, and placing product in its assigned storage area. • Must be able to work efficiently, effectively and safely in a fast paced environment • Must be able to adhere to quality control standards to include strict sanitary and hygiene standards • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods of time and cool temperatures of 45-55 degrees the remainder of the work period. • Excellent attendance is a condition of employment.
