Vice President of Technology Overall Responsibilities: The Vice President of Technologyfor Vital Data Technology (VDT) will manage the overall technology directionand provide leadership for the technology organization. The Vice President willreport directly to the Vital Data Technology President. This is aproject-focused environment, primarily focused on customized product solutionsand integration with third party and in house solutions that support contractedservices to Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial Health Plans. Specific Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring that the platform is designed for: Efficient development and maintenance costs Easy evolution and enhancement, with defined product roadmaps Stable performance and quick response times at all volumes within design specifications Compliance with HIPAA standards and practices Compliance with corporate, customer and industry standard risk and security standards Responsible for the successful and timely delivery of technology products and services to clients via direct oversight of VDT technology resources and via collaboration with client services, which provides infrastructure and technical support. Responsible for developing and managing to the annual VDT technology budget Responsible for monitoring and evaluating ITS hosting, definition and/or upgrade of service-level agreements where appropriate, ensuring appropriate hosting support and performance. Response for working with the appropriate corporate teams to evaluate and where appropriate take advantage of technology options like cloud computing, outsourced development, etc. Responsible for ensuring that software design and development is appropriately documented. Conduct build vs. buy analyses and assist business in identifying, procuring, managing, and integrating technology third-party solutions and services when warranted. Responsible for successfully implementing the strategy and the support/integration plan for our portfolio of custom, web-based business applications. Supporting marketing efforts, client visits and proposal development efforts. Spending the time necessary to learn VDT from a business perspective and being able to determine appropriate technology solutions to support those requirements. Coordinating with the corporate Client Services and other practice areas to establish and enforce corporate technology policy, process and standards.
