FARMWORKERS TEMPORARY

Details: Green Acres and Greenhouses LLC seeks 3 temporary farmworkers to work in Rock Cave, WV from 06/21/2015 to 11/01/2015, 40 hours/week, 5 days/week. Duties: Use row crop tractor to plow fields for planting; 15%. Plant seeds for sweet corn, tomatoes, pep-pers, eggplants, squash, cantaloupes and watermelons; 20%. Harvesting onions - pull onions from ground, snip off the tops with a snipper, deposit in a 50 pound sack; 10%. Harvesting tomatoes - detach green tomatoes from plants and deposit in a 20 pound bucket, carry bucket to truck at the edge of the field and lift onto the truck; 10%. Harvesting squash - use sharp knife to cut squash from stem and deposit in a 20 pound bucket, carry bucket to truck at the edge of the field and lift onto truck; 10%. Harvesting eggplants - cut fruit close to the stem and deposit in a 20 pound bucket, carry bucket to truck at the edge of field and lift onto truck; 5%. Harvesting peppers - use sharp knife to cut peppers off plant, deposit in a 20 pound bucket, carry bucket to truck at the edge of field and lift onto truck; 10%. Harvesting cantaloupes and watermelons - cut stems close to fruit with a sharp knife, deposit in 20 pound bucket, carry bucket to truck at the edge of field and lift onto truck; 10%. Harvesting sweet corn - pull ears down and twist to remove from stalk, deposit in 20 pound bucket, carry bucket and lift onto truck; 10%. All equipment, supplies and tools will be provided to the workers free of charge. Free housing on farm premises is available. Transportation and subsistence expenses to the worksite will be provided or paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract. Wage $10.28/hour. Employment is guaranteed for at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period beginning on June 21, 2015 and ending on November 1, 2015.
