The program consists of an intensive 16-week training program designed to prepare the individual for the Dock Supervisor/Dispatcher positions. Under the direction of a mentor, the primary responsibility of an Operations Management Trainee is to learn: The basic principles of the transportation industry. Efficient cross-dock operations. Effective leadership communication and relationship building skills. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation/Logistics or four years related work experience. • Willingness to relocate anywhere within the Southeastern system. •Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills. • Commitment to teamwork with all other functional areas. • Acceptable driving history according to Southeastern Freight Lines standards. • Comfortable with being accountable for results. • Professional demeanor. • Strong work ethic.
