Ice Bowling for a Cause

CRANDON - A unique winter sport helped raise awareness for people affected by cancer this weekend. “It’s a little slippery out there, last year we had a few crash and burns but it’s all in fun and they all get back up and go at it again,” said ice bowling organizer Stacey Jameson. “It’s way different than bowling in a regular bowling alley, but still really fun,” said bowler Dawn Hines. Conviction in Stabbings on the Lac Courts Oreilles Reservation

HAYWARD - A Bayfield County jury has says 22 year old Marvin Corbine is guilty of reckless homicide in a stabbing on the Lac Courts Oreilles Reservation. Corbine was also found guilty of attempted murder for wounding the victim's brother in a home invasion in 2011. The criminal complaint says Sawyer County sheriff's deputies and tribal police responded to a fight was taking place in April of 2011. Full Story: WJFW

UPDATE: Two bodies identified in town of Cassian fire

TOWN OF CASSIAN - We now know for certain Kaye and Mark Juel died in yesterday's house fire near Harshaw. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office confirmed they were inside the burned home on Partridge Lane in the Town of Cassian. The two were involved members of the Oneida County community, and we spoke with both Kay and Mark on Newswatch 12 in the past. Full Story: WJFW

Lincoln Co. Health Department Receives CHANGE Grant

LINCOLN COUNTY - Lincoln County wants to know how clean your school or workplace is. Now, they'll have the money to find out. Wisconsin Public Health gave the Lincoln County Health Department the CHANGE grant. Community Health Assessment and Group Evaluation, or CHANGE Grant, focuses on improving health in five areas, from schools to community organizations.
