Network Engineer
Details: A 2 billion dollar organization in Atlanta has an immediate need for a Sr. Network Engineer for their team. This will be a full-time perm hire. 25% of this person's day will be spent in a support capacity as this resource will be tier 4 support. The other 75% of their time will be spent on engineering side, specifically helping implement an architecture or create an architecture. For example, if this person tasked with implementing a new load balancer they should be able to confirm the architecture with the vendor, create a test environment for them, test and implement it into production and move on to the next project with little to zero hand holding. Below is a list of the project list this new Network Engineer will be tasked with the rest of 2015 on into 2016. - Cisco ACS design project, they will assist the Lead Engineer on this. Re-engineer corporate Sonicwall head ends need installed. . Load balancing on MS Exchange/Office 365 Environment, move entire enterprise to office 365, WAN acceleration POC, PCI remediation, data center movement, AZURE cloud build out, would require a private MPLS network Other duties: of this person's day will be spent engineering, configuring the core infrastructure performing layer 2 and layer 3 duties for the entire 950 company store network. The network is mainly composed of 3850 Catalyst switches and Cisco ASR gear. The core network is composed on Nexus 5k and 7k gear. This person will also be responsible for updating the firewall infrastructure which is mainly Sonicwall but also has Cisco ASA. 2. Ability to design and implement complex network designs to include advanced routing concepts, VLANS, VPN, complex switch configurations, etc. Must be able to deploy Cisco and SonicWall network technologies 3. Perform complex configuration changes to increase network coverage and performance. 4. Provide advanced technical support to assist the Technical Teams in the resolution of faults. Act as a point of escalation for Helpdesk personnel. 5. Analyze and rectify complex faults on the network to meet defined service levels. 6. Implement and manage Network Security related but not limited to Industry Best Practices, PCI and SOX 7. Support network investigation/performance routines to ensure network availability 8.
