Located in Austin, TX, we are looking for experienced Mortgage Audit Specialist's to join our GREAT mortgage division! Specialties Conventional Loans, Jumbo loans, FHA Loans, VA Loans, USDA, Home Improvement, Home Equity Fixed Rate Cash-Out, Home Equity Line of Credit, Lot Loan and Portfolio What You Will Be Doing - Primarily responsible for the review and timely issuing of RESPA initial disclosures on residential mortgage loan applications - Review mortgage loans - Generate disclosure documents - Send disclosures through a secured database and mail disclosure documents to borrowers within a timely manner - Review files & correct loan disclosures to eliminate exceptions, and communicate effectively with personnel to obtain loan information - Monitors activities of Closing & Post Closing, to ensure compliance w/ applicable internal policies & procedures & external regulations - Addresses compliance matters in daily activities to ensure regulatory requirements & operating practices are followed - Supervise day to day compliance risk & make recommendations to higher management on enhancement & solutions - Review & analyze compliance monitoring reports & other related source documents for suspicious/unusual patterns of activity - Follow-up w/ Closing & Post Closing area for explanations & discussions for appropriate action - Provide support to Closing & Post Closing on compliance-related issues - Participate in compliance reviews, projects & training efforts; act on behalf of senior management, as required - Provide guidance to less experienced compliance personnel on regulatory matters, as appropriate - Assist closing, post-closing, MLO Sales Manager and HMDA auditors in writing guidelines & checklist to aid the employees - Ensure that loan policies & procedures are in compliance w/ federal & state regulations, and corporate compliance program - Identifies the root cause of specific problems & presents practical recommendations to eliminate risks posed by identified problems with Reg.
