Paczki pronunciation debate

RHINELANDER - Fat Tuesday comes around every year. And that leads to a pronunciation debate across the Northwoods. "I call them paczki but I've heard "pat-zkis", "pol-skies", all kinds of different things. It's just a myriad of things but you always know what they're talking about because it always starts with a P and they're looking for a doughnut," said Kevin Rietveld, the Director of Bakery Operations at Trig's. Wisconsin Senate passes governor's tax cuts

MADISON - The state Senate has approved Republican Gov. Scott Walker's $504 million tax cut plan. The proposal would send $406 million to technical colleges to reduce their property tax hit and cut income taxes by $98.6 million. The plan would shrink property taxes on a median-valued home by $131 on this December's bills and save the typical taxpayer $46 in income taxes. Full story: WJFW
