The primary function of this position is to maintain and operate the extrusion blow-molding equipment and downstream equipment on assigned lines. Conduct periodic quality inspection of product. Document all downtime and methods used to get the line operational again. Must be able to perform the following duties: color changes, screen changes, change blow needles, set the depth of a reamer, make minor adjustments to the label basket, change trimmer buckets, assist in a complete line changeover including downstream equipment, perform preventative maintenance on all line equipment, change grinder blades, establish and document blender weights for set-up, change filters in the vacuum system, change knockout rods, clean molds and mold vents, replace air and water hoses, rebuild blow cylinders, replace tabs on conveyors, clean vacuum on trimmer, replace belts on trimmer, clean glue heads on box machine, troubleshoot and do preventative maintenance on tray formers and fill oiler on process equipment. Details: WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to work in our railcar repair shop. In this position, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a quality product is delivered to our customers. In this role you will be the day-to-day resource for employees and managers at the shop regarding quality assurance best practices and will be instrumental in the change from a culture of quality control to one of quality assurance. Railcar repair processes and final work output are heavily regulated by the Association of American Railroads (AAR), so the ability to learn and ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements of our industry will be key to creating successful quality assurance processes.
