Details: PRIMARY PURPOSE: This position is responsible for the accounting and reporting functions specifically related to Procurement, a corporate department reporting to the Senior Vice President of Property Management. Procurement programs are an integral component of mall operations including security services, waste removal, parking services, and cellular connectivity services to name a few. This position is also responsible for reporting and analysis functions supporting Property Management, Energy Services, and Property Tax departments. TYPICAL DUTIES: Examines job contract plans and specifications, survey information, sales sketches, estimates and take-off sheets. Reviews with sales prior to designing. Independently and proactively resolves conflicts and questions prior to engineering. Obtains information from suppliers, manufacturers, contractors and others using innovative methods to expedite this process. Will visit actual jobsite for information pertaining to engineering layouts. Using CAD systems, develops unique and innovative product applications that result in cost savings and meet our contractual requirements within the cost estimate. Lays out schematic sketches of control circuits, schedules, sequence of operation. Generates I/O Summary. Prepares submittals as required and obtains approval of proper contracting authority. May make shop drawings to show locations of all control devices, conduits, piping and piping sizes. Prepares specialized orders and submits purchase orders for outside material. May prepare Job Material Requisition list and Bill of Material including installation material. May, upon advice from the field, order equipment and installation material specifying destination and time. May monitor assigned jobs for changes in materials or equipment, interprets change orders and takes necessary action to ensure job completion. May notify suppliers of changes in material requirements. Maintains close contact with installation personnel and responds to material contingencies as they arise. Maintain state of the art level of product and engineering understanding and competency. May develop total job plan for assigned jobs resulting in optimum installed costs. Prepares completed job documentation, which meets our contract requirements using all available resources. Prepares documents and may negotiate subcontracts. May prepare billing justifications for the customer that contributes to the timely collection of accounts receivables. Manages own backlog to ensure timely and accurate job completion. Keeps supervisor informed of job status and elevates problems as needed. Completes and submits labor and expense reports and paperwork in a timely, complete and accurate manner. Maintains assigned equipment and literature. May conduct training as required. Provides sales assistance as assigned including pre-estimate scope of work design. Performs other duties including service support as assigned. Creates or modifies databases for Honeywell controls systems supported by Harris Controls. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: BS Degree; Engineering (prefer mechanical or electrical) or equivalent experience. Two to three years applications engineering to include Systems and Control applications, knowledge of solid-state logic, and microprocessors. Knowledge of CAD/CAE Systems and mechanical/electrical systems required. Understanding of state, federal, and municipal code requirements. Stays current with controls processing (PCs, Ethernet, Echelon, BACnet, RS-485, RS-422 etc.) COMMENTS: This position is responsible for providing the application engineering support required for the installation of jobs sold by the sales department.
