Our ideal caregivers must have previous care-giving experience working with senior citizens and have flexible work schedules, able to work day, swing, grave shifts, and weekends. Assist new residents with arranging personal items and help familiarize residents and their family members with their new surroundings. Encourage residents to participate in daily activities such as bed making, laundry, and setting tables. Communicate with community healthcare professionals, including physicians, discharge planners, nurses and state agencies on the care needs of all residents at the property. This individual must be able to develop a good rapport with patients, families, and caregivers - all of which are our customers. This individual uses keen assessment skills to recognize pain and symptoms and collaborates with the hospice physician to keep the patient comfortable and pain-free. The RN educates families and other caregivers on recognizing symptoms and providing safe and competent care for the patient. They offer emotional and practical support for both the patient and their family/caregivers. This individual must have excellent communication and time management skill, be comfortable around dying patients and be able to educate patients and families on the signs, symptoms and expectations of the dying process. They should be compassionate, patient and respectful of the unique differences of each patient and caregiver. Move completed packages for loading. Load or stuff different products or merchandise. Count items. Review packing lists. Mark and label containers. Seal containers with glue and fasteners.
