RHINELANDER - Thursday we told you the Oneida County Sheriff's Office needed your help finding two people. Deputies believe they used a stolen credit card. Now the two suspects are in custody.
Tips from the public helped the sheriff's office find Andrew Washburn and Brieanna Persike. Both of them are from Wausau.
The stolen card was used on Wednesday in Rhinelander.
FOREST COUNTY - A 22-year-old Muskego man died in a snowmobile crash Saturday. Forest County Sheriff's Deputies want to know the specific details of the crash.
It happened a little after 1:30 in the morning in the township of Freedom.
Deputies found the crashed snowmobile off the shore of Roberts Lake. They say the snowmobiler crashed into a tree.
MILWAUKEE - Dozens of demonstrators have been arrested while blocking traffic on Interstate 43 during a march to protest the death of a black man shot by Milwaukee police earlier this year.
Hundreds of protesters blocked traffic during rush hour Friday, calling for charges against officer who shot and killed 31-year-old Dontre Hamilton in April. Officer Christopher Manney shot Hamilton 14 times after a struggle in a downtown park, spurring weeks of protests. Manney was later fired for not following proper procedure.
Jonathan Safran, an attorney for the Hamilton family says they don't approve of protesters blocking freeway traffic.
MADISON - An off-duty bouncer at a Madison bar has severe injuries after he was beaten by two customers.
Police say the 21-year-old bouncer at The City Bar was entering the men's restroom early Saturday when he saw two men with a white powdery substance. Police say one of the men ingested the substance.
The bouncer told the men he was going to notify a manager, and he was attacked. The men left with three other males.
RHINELANDER - Members of the Rhinelander Railroad Association want more kids to get into model trains.
That's one of the reasons they have a train display in Rhinelander.
People had the chance to stop by and look at the display on Saturday.
MADISON - A team of ``Sweet Scientists'' from the University of Wisconsin-Madison has become the latest winner of ``The Amazing Race.''
Amy DeJong and Maya Warren won $1 million and beat out three other teams in the last leg of the race from Manila in the Philippines to Los Angeles.
The finale of the CBS show's 25th season was broadcast Friday night. In the show, Warren jumped from a window like a stunt actor, and DeJong competed in a grueling memorization challenge.
MINOCQUA - Many people might be finishing up their Christmas shopping this weekend.
Some people did that shopping at a Christmas market in Minocqua Saturday.
The market was held at Ann Marie's garden shop.
MILWAUKEE - Wisconsin's top story in 2014 was a historic one, as the state joined the ranks of those that allow gay marriage. But plenty of other headlines are worth remembering from the year that was, including Gov. Scott Walker demonstrating his resilience by winning his third election in four years, the theft of a 300-year-old violin and the disturbing case of the Slender Man stabbing.
SAME SEX MARRIAGE
A federal judge in Madison uncorked same-sex marriage in June when she struck down the state's ban. Gay couples across the state rushed to wed over several days before opponents stopped it temporarily. Four months later, the U.S. Supreme Court re-started it when it rejected appeals from gay marriage opponents in five states including Wisconsin, and hundreds of couples rushed to courthouse to exercise their right to marry.
SLENDER MAN
Much of Wisconsin heard of the spooky character ``Slender Man'' for the first time when he was evoked as an explanation for a horrific attack on a 12-year-old girl.
MILWAUKEE - One bald eagle has died and another is in serious condition in Wisconsin after ingesting lead from ammunition.
The Dane County Humane Society has treated two bald eagles with lead poisoning in the past two weeks. The birds likely swallowed lead while feeding on deer or other wildlife carcasses that had been shot, or by eating waterfowl that had ingested lead.
The first bald eagle survived only a day after it was brought into a Humane Society facility last week with acute lead poisoning.
MADISON - Wisconsin wildlife officials say they're disappointed a federal judge has decided to place Great Lakes wolves back on the endangered species list.
U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell's order Friday affects Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The ruling bans further wolf hunting and trapping in those states.
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources spokesman Bill Cosh issued a statement Friday evening saying the decision means the state can't authorize anyone to kill a wolf, even wolves discovered in the act of attacking a domestic animal.
RHINELANDER - Northwoods non-profits may struggle to find volunteers, funding, and to stay afloat. A group of people in Oneida County wants to get more involved.
Leadership Oneida County pairs those groups with those people. On Thursday, those groups met to start working towards a common goal.
"We were very pleased to have the group help us and we're anticipating great results again," said Rhinelander Area Food Pantry Executive Director Guy Hansen.
EAGLE RIVER - You can help families in need give their kids a special Christmas Day.
The Vilas County Salvation Army is still looking for toys to give to families that need some help this holiday season.
"It's always the 8 to 12-year-olds for boys and for girls. So LEGOs, definitely, are a big hit, action figures. For the girls, you know, arts and crafts kind of things, hair dryers, curling irons, any of those kinds of things," said Vilas County Salvation Army Volunteer Kathy Holtorp.
RHINELANDER - When it comes to safety on the slopes- you can turn to the National Ski Patrol.
They're on hundreds of ski hills across the country.
Camp 10 in Rhinelander is one of those hills.
LAONA - Northwoods loggers describe business right now as great. KLP Logging and Trucking Owner Kevin Kramer says it's a golden time to get into the business. The Laona business owner says timber prices are high, so is demand, but he's facing issues getting logs to the mills.
Some loggers can't find enough trucks to get their logs from the Northwoods to paper mills. Kramer would love more trucks in the area.
He believes it started in the early 2000s. Kramer says a number of trucks went to the southern U.S. to cash in, and clean up hurricane damage. He says many didn't return.
SUGAR CAMP - One Christmas tradition in Sugar Camp teaches children something very special.
Santa's Workshop helps kids experience what it means to give to others.
Parents and teachers put on the event at Sugar Camp Elementary School every year.
EAGLE RIVER - Snow groomers in Eagle River spend a lot of time on trails. They make sure they're perfect for snowmobilers, but it takes a lot of time and money to make that happen.
"See how flat it is? With these machines that's what we do to get it flattened out. And it does a good job," said Sno-Eagles Trail Boss Tom Tomlanovich.

BUTTERNUT - A Wisconsin couple is suing Ashland County officials for putting down their mammoth donkey named Jethro.
The Daily Press of Ashland (http://bit.ly/1w6ElCB) reports Patricia and Dwight Westmore have filed a lawsuit in federal court alleging the county unfairly seized Jethro and four horses from their property last year after a report of maltreatment. The complaint alleges Ashland County euthanized Jethro over the couple's objections. One of the four horses taken later died.
The Westmores sued the county, animal control officials and several police officers on Friday.
KESHENA - A flood warning effecting south central Menominee county could be extended again.
The warning for the Keshena area is due to run out at 10:00 p.m. Friday.
The warning will be extended if high water continues to be a problem.
MADISON - Wisconsin may see the fewest number of traffic deaths since World War II.
Traffic fatalities continue to decline across Wisconsin.
As of Wednesday, Wisconsin Department of Transportation Data showed there have been 480 road deaths so far this year.
MADISON - Wisconsin ranks 32nd in private-sector job growth for the 12-month period ending in June.
The latest figures were reported Thursday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
They show that Wisconsin grew private-sector jobs between July 2013 and the end of June this year by 1.45 percent. That lags the national average of growth at 2.3 percent.
HAYWARD - Two Salvation Army red kettles have been stolen in Hayward in recent weeks.
The Salvation Army says one of the kettles contained an estimated $400.
The most recent theft happened Wednesday at Walgreen's. Sawyer County Salvation Army director Debbie Huebner says surveillance video shows someone grabbed the kettle's stand and put the whole structure into the back of a vehicle.
MADISON - Emergency 911 service has been restored to multiple southern Wisconsin counties after an outage that lasted roughly seven hours.
That service was restored at around 4 p.m. Thursday.
Frontier spokeswoman Karen Miller says the outage happened after an underground cable was inadvertently severed by a third party shortly after 9 a.m. The outage affected 911 phone service and high-speed internet access.
WOODRUFF - Some members of a Northwoods church hope to offer people the chance to start a new holiday tradition this year.
Members of Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff think everyone has something to gain by giving more attention to peace.
Church members brought a peace candle to the Northwoods.
RHINELANDER - A community group wants to build a dog park in Rhinelander. The Hodag Paws Park group asked for permission to use county owned land on Air Park Road. But a few concerns need to be addressed before any decision is made.
The specific piece of land Hodag Paws Park wants to use is across the street from the Drs. Foster and Smith retail store.
The land was originally given to Printpack to build the company's manufacturing facility. But the company decided to build on Highway 17 and gave the property back to county. The county's Economic Development Corporation is currently trying to sell the property.
TOMAHAWK - The Wisconsin Badgers will head to the Outback Bowl in Florida, but there's another Wisconsin team headed to bowl game itself.
Tomahawk's high school dance team will perform during halftime of the Orange Bowl.
The team heads to Miami next week.
RHINELANDER - Gov. Scott Walker won't say when he'll decide if he'll run for president in the upcoming 2016 election, but some political observers say former Florida Governor Jeb Bush's announcement to "actively explore" a presidential run adds some urgency to declare for possible contenders.
Gov. Walker said this week that Bush's comments, "don't affect me one way or another."
However, UW-Madison Professor of Political Science Kenneth Mayer says Walker and other possible candidates may have time into January or February to make a decision.
ANTIGO - Salvation Army workers in Langlade County don't know who to thank.
A stranger dropped a $1,200 gold coin into one of the red kettles in Antigo.
"The coin is in very good condition. Somebody knew what they were doing when they dropped it in the bucket," says Langlade County Salvation Army Volunteer Coordinator William Kelly.
BAYFIELD - You'll pay five bucks if you visit the Apostle Island ice caves.
That's if we get the chance to see them again this winter.
The fee would pay for more staffing, portable toilets and medical needs.
MERRILL - Needy families in Merrill will have a better Christmas this year.
The Merrill Fire Department is sponsoring the Tree of Hope.
The tradition has been around since the 1950's. People can drop off gifts for families in need.
MARINETTE - Two men accused of shooting at police now sit in jail.
They were arrested following a manhunt in the woods of northeastern Wisconsin.
Marinette County deputies closed a section of Highway 141, evacuated some homes and locked down two bars Wednesday night.
