RHINELANDER - You might support a local grocery store by shopping right in your town. But look at a few labels and you realize, that the oranges come from Mexico, the bananas come from Chile, and the fish from as far away as China. Full Story: WJFW

MADISON - Wisconsin remains free of a deadly bat disease. Department of Natural Resources officials surveyed 73 Wisconsin locations where bats spend the winter. They turned up no sign of white-nose syndrome. Full Story: WJFW

RHINELANDER - We know Kwik Trip plans to build a store in Rhinelander. Some people can't wait for it, while others think we have enough gas stations already. You can't make everyone happy, but most people Newswatch 12 spoke to in town think bringing Kwik Trip to town is a great idea. Now, we're just waiting on them to break ground. Full Story: WJFW

MADISON - Wolves might still be hunted, but they would be safe in the dark under a measure which cleared the Legislature's finance committee. Governor Scott Walker's budget includes the provision that would ban night wolf hunting. Full Story: WJFW

MADISON - Activists plan to train on how to stop a giant iron mine in northwestern Wisconsin. A group of 80 to 90 activists will be gathering in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest to learn ``peaceful resistance techniques.'' Full Story: WJFW

WAUSAU - We teach our kids to look both ways before they cross the street, buckle their seatbelts, and never drink and drive. But our kids may be teaching us a safety lesson soon. When it comes to texting and driving, adults are worse offenders than teenagers. Today, Wausau Police went to Wausau West High School. Instead of telling them how dangerous texting and driving can be, they showed them. Full Story: WJFW

MERRILL - Major road construction near Merrill moved forward this week, and so did a legal battle from a local business owner trying to stop it. Construction at Highway 51 and County Road C began three days ago. Raj Bhandari owns the Citgo gas station at the intersection. Full Story: WJFW

MADISON - The state treasuer may soon have little to do. The Legislature's budget committee has voted to remove the last meaningful duty of the state treasurer. Under the proposal, management of unclaimed funds would be transferred to the Department of Revenue. Full Story: WJFW

RHINELANDER - The 1800's Victorian on Frederick Street in Rhinelander can be a beautiful place for people to live while they get back on their feet. But a home like that requires a bit of maintenance, and the house is ready for a major paint job. Full Story: WJFW

MERRILL - Ask yourself if you've seen this man. 36-year-old Christopher Meindel is on the run. Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies want to catch him. Meindel was convicted of making and selling methamphetamine. He had been living on probation in Merrill. Full Story: WJFW
