This person will serve as a technical writer and proposal coordinator for our Eastern Area proposal manager/business development support teams. Lead proposal support team efforts and coordinate technical resources in the planning, development and completion of assigned tasks, including development of plans for proposal preparation, proposal outlines, schedules, assignments, graphics, and themes. The individual based in our northeast region, will primarily support and guide proposal team efforts across Natural Resources & Health Sciences (NRHS) Eastern Area and will actively participate in technical writing and preparation of selected written portions to ensure that proposal content is complete, responsive, of high quality and is delivered on schedule. This will include directly coordinating with Vice Presidents, Principals, Technical Directors and technical staff to assemble the appropriate resources for preparation and review of proposals to complete a high quality product under deadline. This position will also coordinate, assemble, prioritize, schedule and monitor administrative functions in support of the production of assigned proposals, including partnering with graphics personnel and Marketing staff. Ideal candidate will demonstrate his/her ability to serve as strong technical writer, multi-task, and work as a team player, sometimes under challenging deadlines. Candidate must also possess strong organization skills and (preferred) experience in using CRM data to profile existing and potential new clients. Ideal candidate must have a record of producing a variety of proposals and SOQs that led to contract wins, demonstrated ability to manage the proposal process and support teams. Time management is key and also ability to work with diverse staff under deadline and always in a highly professional manner. 3-5 years of business development and proposal management experience in professional services, government or commercial contractor environment preferred; 5-10 years’ experience in technical writing; in addition to degree in English, Sciences, or Technical Communications. Experience in graphic design and/or layout preferred; strong skills in Microsoft applications required.
