Test Automation Architect

Details: A fast growing enterprise software organization is seeking a full time, perm Test Automation Architect for their team. They are currently in the process of developing a Fitnesse framework using Selenium underpinning. This person needs to have experience with Selenium testing utilizing Groovy or Java. This ideal candidate will have a mix of a technical background with managerial skills. Job Responsibilities: 80% of this person's job will be building out Fitnesse and Selenium Web Driver Frameworks. This will include hardening the Selenium fixtures which is in Java . This person will also be responsible fo evaluating what regression test cases goes into the Master regression page. The other 20% of this person's time will be spent in heavy optimization type duties to include putting all of the Selenium and Fitness on page. They use Jenkins for continuous integration into their environment and this tools houses all kinds of data such as testing time, defects, regression failures. Uppper level management would like a dashboard that that shows key metrics for upper level management so they how far or close the team is to hitting milestones and release dates. This person will help set up processes and educate people on the team.This person may be driving some of the testing that their offshore team does and working with the scrum team to drive business. This person must be able to work with the business to identify gaps in testing scenarios and work to develop test scripts to eliminate the gaps. This would also include reworking current test scripts that require updating. This person will lead release testing efforts with regard to new product management requests or new integration directions. This includes but is not limited to overseeing a small project to make sure testing is defined, executed, triaged and management is aware of current status. Areas where this might occur is in certifying new third party software, new third party test environments and critical software patches. Participate in automated testing (they use Selenium) by executing automation test sets, creating automated test scripts or working with sprint teams to develop automated test scripts. Participate in creating processes and standards for quality test scripts for both manual and automated testing that the test engineering and sprint teams would utilize. Support the development of metrics for management as part of release cycles for key applications. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide oversight for regression scripts within an automated framework and manage the suites to ensure consistency in execution across multiple operating systems/browsers. * Build out regression test sets as sprint teams develop new functionality. * Manage and create selenium libraries to support automated testing. * Support the Continuous Delivery process within Jenkins. * Research, pilot and recommend new testing tools and processes as best practices for use as needed by the sprint teams. * Develop Performance, Stress, Load and Penetration testing processes with supporting tools for new applications. * Work with the sprint teams as needed to support the automation of functional testing.
