MILWAUKEE -- Protesters claim Milwaukee police officers are making it difficult for them to demonstrate. About two dozen people showed up outside District Five headquarters to bring attention to arrests during recent protests in the Dontre Hamilton case. State Senator Lena Taylor said wants all citations against demonstrators to be dismissed. "We don't want people to be discouraged from coming out and showing their protest against a system that is broken," she said. Police Chief Ed Flynn has maintained his department has been accommodating to groups and in most cases given them escorts. But he said people who violate the law will be arrested.
