The primary responsibility for this position is creating the schedule which coordinates the movement of oil into, though, and out of the LOOP system by analyzing product availability, shipper delivery and shipper destination requirements and storage capacities of the system. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE: • Contact current and prospective customers to determine their need for LOOP services, the type, quantity, and the desired date the product is to be shipped or received, and the destination of the product. • Compile system information from internal personnel, data systems, and connecting carriers regarding maintenance shutdowns or other factors which would affect the receipt, storage, shipment or product. • Contact tanker owners and conduct a preliminary review to determine that tankers are approved for and capable of delivering product to LOOP and then forward information to vetting contractor or contact shipper to deny shipment. • Prepare a list of preliminary shipper nominations and insert them into shipping windows by date. • Confirm the intentions of the customer to ship or receive product and finalizes shipping schedules. • Prepare shipping schedules showing the point of origin and point of destination for each particular product which is to be shipped or received considering system availability and capacity, product type and volume, product compatibility and company guidelines for shipping and storage of products. • Verify work orders for accuracy and forward to the Oil Movement Controllers. • Maintain the window schedule. • Issue instructions for gauging, switching, sampling and testing products. • Compile information for, prepare and distribute periodic reports on tank gauging, weekly storage by shipper, system inventory reconciliation, storage charges, tanker delays, shipper accuracy and other operating results. • Investigate discrepancies in product measurement between the shipper or connecting carrier and LOOP. • Train internal and external personnel on company scheduling procedures and policies. • Answer schedule related inquiries from shippers, internal personnel and other parties. • Balance inline inventory, overages and shortages. • Arrange in system transfers between customers. • Arrange for sampling and testing of scheduled batches. • Prepare and maintain scheduling files and related information on shippers and external contacts. • Maintain required levels of training and certification according to LOOP and OSHA Standards; including OMC stimulator curriculum requirements. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and strictly adhere to LOOP Safety requirements.
