RHINELANDER - The Nicolet College Board will need to decide if it should ask taxpayers for money to fund renovations. Tuesday night the college's Collaborative Project Team suggested the college move forward with eight remodeling projects during the summer of 2015. Full Story: WJFW

EAGLE RIVER - Teachers look for ways to make learning fun for their students. One Northland Pines teacher decided to combine a Food Network TV show with her lesson plan. MADISON - The Christmas tree that will be on display in the state Capitol rotunda is hitting the road for Madison. The balsam fir is coming from Antigo, about 175 miles north of the Capitol near Wausau. Full story: WJFW

MINOCQUA - The Minocqua Dispatch Center won't need to come up with tens of thousands of dollars to continue operating next year. That's because the Oneida County Board only cut $50,000 from the Sheriff's budget. Full Story: WJFW

MERRILL - A Northwoods preschool class will use grant money to buy iPods for its young students. The Beyond Crayons and Computers grant is part of the Merrill Area Community Fund. Full Story: WJFW

PHELPS - People in Conover and Phelps move one step closer to having a multi-use trail connect their towns. The Town of Phelps got funding to improve a 5-mile stretch of trail between Conover and Phelps. Full Story: WJFW

MERRILL - Part of the Lincoln County board wants to upgrade the grandstand on its fairgrounds. For now, the money for any potential upgrades would come from taxpayers. Full Story: WJFW

RHINELANDER - For local food pantries, it means more need. “We see anywhere from 5,000 to 6,500 7,000 men, women and children. 40% of that number are children," said Pam Winkelman, head of fundraising and public relations at Lakeland Pantry. Full Story: WJFW
