Protect your valuables inside your ice shanty

RHINELANDER - Ice shanties protect us from the cold when we go ice fishing. But we need to think about protecting our shanties from break-ins. The Oneida County Sheriff’s office says there haven't been many break-ins this year. "It goes in cycles some years we'll have a rash of them and some years we won't have any, but this year there's been a couple,” says Oneida County Sheriff’s Recreational Officer Brad Fogerty. Walker lays out major property, income tax cuts under "Blueprint For Prosperity" during State of the State

MADISON - Gov. Scott Walker got specific with his plans for nearly $1 billion in surplus revenue on Wednesday. He delivered his fourth State of the State address at the State Capitol. In-person deer registration to end; deer tags issued will drop in Northwoods this fall

MADISON - For 70 years, deer hunters registered their kill at local businesses. It's not only the rules, but a social tradition of telling tales and swapping stories. That will end within two years due to a decision by Wisconsin's Natural Resources Board Wednesday in Madison. Full story: WJFW

Wisc. Building Commission green-lights phase 2 of Rib Mountain State Park modernization

RIB MOUNTAIN - Rib Mountain State Park will get more than $740,000 in upgrades in 2014. It is part of a project approved by the Wisconsin Building Commission Tuesday. This project will improve the existing day-use area, including the amphitheater area, and will continue to convert existing campground areas into day-use facilities, according to the Building commission press release.
