School board to eye filling Stanke post, agenda busy

Stanke, a retired educator and former city of Antigo mayor, was in the midst of his first term on the school board when he died on Feb. 13. Full Story: Antigo Daily Journal

Comments

I'm not sure if there is a rule stating an active school teacher is prohibited from serving on the school board but obviously nothing from preventing a retired teacher from serving on the board. I believe it is a conflict of interest to have a teacher and/or retired teacher serving on the school board.
