Federal prosecutors take over drug case for Antigo man, penalties higher

There was a dramatic development late Wednesday in a drug case that started unfolding in northern Langlade County more than 27 months ago. John M. Hunter, 35, is charged in federal court with a single count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, cocaine and marijuana. If convicted, he faces from five to 40 years in prison, up to a $5 million fine and from four years to life of supervision after release. Full Story: Antigo Daily Journal
