Proposed Marathon Co. $25 wheel tax would be for one year - at least

WAUSAU (WAOW) - Saying only “hard choices” remain for maintaining Marathon County roads, the county board of supervisors considers implementing a $25 wheel tax for one year to generate $3.2 million - and then decide whether to continue it.

GREEN BAY (WAOW) - A 39-year-old Stevens Point man faces up to 20 years in federal prison after he was convicted of robbing six banks or credit unions in a six-month spree last year, U.S. Attorney Gregory Haanstad said Monday.
