Fire chiefs from across the state gathered Friday to hand out a heroism award. The recipient was Rick Coryell of Galesville. Back in February he came upon a two car crash. He pulled an unconscious woman from a burning car. "I was on my way home from shopping when I came over the crest of hill there was a car laying on its side facing me and there was another car off in the ditch that was on fire," Coryell said. "I immediately stopped, ran down there and pulled her out." Coryell then went to the second car and helped those people out as well.
