Westosha Central slugger Kayla Konwent waited and waited and then waited some more for good pitches to hit. According to Falcons co-coach Tom Lampe, more than 20 times opponents essentially gave her an intentional pass. The Journal Sentinel’s area softball player of the year was given the kind of respect few players receive at the prep level.
