Langlade County recent criminal court activity 04.15.2014

A few bonds were given, some warrants authorized and new charges filed.

Robby L. Bessert of Aniwa, 36, entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of theft in a business setting. He is scheduled to return to court on May 19.

August D. Genz of Fifth Avenue, 45, had an arrest warrant authorized with a $500 bond for a charge of operating without a valid license as a second offense within three years.

Joshua J. Bessert of Bear Lake Road, 38, had his bond reduced from $1000 cash to $300 cash for charges of operating while intoxicated as a fourth offense within five years, operating while revoked and failure to install or tampering with an ignition interlock device. Conditions of his bond include no use of alcohol and no driving without a valid license. He is set to return to court on May 29.

Angela R. Jordan of Green Bay, 42, failed to appear in court on a charge of operating without a valid license as a second offense within three years. A body only warrant was authorized for her arrest.

Kristin D. Murray of Virginia Street, 22, had a bond reduction from $300 cash down to $500 signature for charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor bail jumping. She entered not guilty pleas and is scheduled to return to court on June 9.

Kole T. Packard of Mapleview Road, 20, was ordered to serve 30 days in jail for misdemeanor bail jumping, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Although there are separate cases, the jail term runs concurrent. He must also pay a $100 fine and restitution, which will be determined at a later date. His drivers license was suspended for one year.

Laurence P. Reichert of White Lake, 41, received a $500 signature bond for charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. He entered not guilty pleas. As conditions of bond, he must refrain from using alcohol and not drive without a valid license. His next court date is set for June 2.

Steven L. Rosio of Wabeno, 22, had his bond reduced from $1000 cash down to $1000 signature for charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. He entered pleas of not guilty. He is scheduled to return to court on May 12.

Alexander J. Schreiber of Graham Avenue, 19, failed to appear in court on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. A body only warrant was authorized for his arrest.

Brandon K. Shields of Second Avenue, 32, received a $1,000 signature bond for charges of possession of marijuana as a second or greater offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor bail jumping. His next court date is set for April 23.

Bobbi Jo M. Teske of Pearl Avenue, 21, received $500 signature bond for charges of possession of marijuana and drug parapheranlia. She is scheduled to return to court on May 12.

Devon W. Martin of Rhinelander, 24, failed to appear for a charge of resisting or obstructing an officer. A body only warrant was authorized for his arrest.

New cases filed on Monday, April 14:

Brandon B. Maddix of Bryant, 22, was charged with forgery-uttering, which occurred on March 31. An initial appearance is scheduled for May 5.

Joshua Walton of Bryant, 22, was charged with possession of narcotic drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of an illegally obtained prescription, which occurred on April 12. His next court date is set for May 5.

Amanda M. Bocek of Pickerel, 31, was charged with disorderly conduct. She is scheduled to return to court on May 5.

Matthew C. Fell of Pearl Avenue, 23, was charged with operating while intoxicated as a third offense, operating while revoked and failing to install or tampering with an ignition interlock device. His next court date is set for May 5.

New cases filed Tuesday, April 15:

Robert J. Bateman of Eagle River, 29, was charged with possession of marijuana as a second or greater offense, possession of drug parapheranlia and two counts of resisting or obstructing an officer. His next court date is set for April 28.

Michael J. Fischer of Deleglise Street, 48, was charged with operating while intoxicated as a fifth or sixth offense. He is scheduled to return to court on April 21.

Tim R. Walraven of Wausau, 28, was charged with misdemeanor bail jumping. His next court date is set for April 28.

Jacob A. Baum of Clermont Street, 26, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The offense occurred on April 9. An initial appearance is scheduled for May 12.

I think the bonds are ridiculous, you can get out on a signature bond for having weed on person but it's 10000 CASH if a box, not addressed to you, is delivered to your home, and remains there unopened until you get around to taking it back to the post office.

That's the police and the D. A. fooling the public into believing they are actually catching criminals. They are very good at ruining lives over bogus charges. They need convictions to continue getting the money for their programs so they make up bogus crap and fool the public into believing they are catching criminals
