Lame sentence for stealing over one million dollars!

I was really suprised at the story about the woman who worked at a Marshfield convenience store and embezzled $1.3 million! That seems like a lot of money for a person to steal from a convenience store, but, it was over a span of 10 years. The news report said that she will get about a year of jail time and 30 years probation, and she is supposed to pay back the money. One year of jail time for over a million dollars, I don't think that is right at all! They should have given her more jail time and also absolutely REQUIRE her to pay back ALL of the money she took! I recall reading about another criminal case where the person took over $500K and due to some fancy legal workings, she only has to pay back like $30,000 of it!
