According to news reports, law enforcement received a call from a person claiming to be held hostage by a bath salt user.
The caller claimed that he and another person had been held hostage but the other man had escaped by climbing out a window.
The incident occurred a residence on Highway I, in the Town of Neva on Sunday night.
The caller was the owner of the residence and when officers arrived, he explained that the bath salt user was still in the home. Police found the 27 year old man hiding in an attic crawl space, with insulation covering him, in an obvious attempt to hide.
Drug related items were found, including pipes and a jewel bag of powder, which is suspected to be bath salts. The powder will be sent to the lab for identification.
The man was taken into custody with charges expected to be filed shortly.

I see that the local police are holding another one of their "information" sessions about bath salts, which is great, BUT, the public can only do so much. The cops know exactly who is doing this crap and they arrest them, let them go, and repeat the cycle. Nothing will get better as long as they keep treating this problem like a business, it needs to be treated for what it is, A PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE DEALT WITH ONCE AND FOR ALL. Stop letting them out, keep them locked up and maybe they will get straight enough to actually stay off the crap!

I have seen so much going on in the last month that it makes me sick. I have been afraid to come out of my apartment or go to bed at night, with it going one right down stairs from me. One is is jail, but the main one that sells the stuff was let leave with no charges against her. I am sure she is just dealing and smoking it some place else

Maybe if they kept them locked up for more than a couple days it would help.
And maybe you are right, Rocket Fuel, maybe locking them up doesn't help, but, SOMETHING has to work!? What do the other cities do? It seems like you don't even hear of this crap in other towns but, here is it almost a daily occurence.

BathSalts may be all over but it has hit here with vengence. Just look at what it does to the people hooked on it. I don't feel bad for ppl using it but I do feel bad that ppl can't seem to stop using. It's a perfect drug for Salt City because its easy to get and its cheaper than anything out there.

What's funny is the house in question is owned by a bath salt user. He has been in trouble a lot lately and when you look at him you can clearly tell but they let him go. Another antigo joke. Goes to show who you know in town. His cousin is a major seller and they have let him walk numerous times. These are the people who need to be put away.

I think you should check the court site, cuz I believe he was charged with something, maybe not bath salts but obstruction or something. They only list felonies on this site, not misdemeanors and even possession of bath salts is a misdemeanor crime.

This is a trick of big pharma alcohol and tobacco and the corporations that feed you poison. Don't get me wrong this stuff can be nasty but prohibition will make the problem worse like in England where this stuff hit long ago. It turned into just another cottage industry. Prohibition is a cruel trick with employees like cops not smart enough to figure this out. This is a trick to take the heat off the real danger. Big pharma, alcohol, tobacco, big food corporations, monsanto etc... etc....( the true threat) And worst of all the low IQ law enforcement shills who are the unwitting enforcers of black market.WAr on drugs has destroyed respect for LE and the selection process is severely flawed. Our own drug cop had destroyed this community by busting best people doing healthiest things while accepting funds furthering his own career. I left anti go because I was petrified that some nut (TB or JP) would break down my door in their state of mind (high). The drug scene in Antigo is out of hand. Where I live bath salts aren't an issue nothing on the news or paper. The people there ( young) need to get their butts out of bed and get a job. No not all of the young people are on drugs. But its scary how many are. Their so bored because they choose to live off the system. Those people should have to have once a week u.a.done.if you want help from the tax payer. Then give up the blood and urine. A lot of people in antigo are on methadone. All they do is sleep and burn holes in their bed and floors. If you can buy cigarettes then you don't need free rent and food card plus financial support. Yep you know I'm talking to YOU. Get your a** out of bed and get a job. You'll improve your life 100% now to address the law. The law is doing double time because of the plague called alcohol and drug abuse. I'm not saying their perfect. Because their not. But come on. Seriously. Get off the dope. Your losing out on the best years of your lives.
