Local man jailed in California on child sex count

An Antigo man on the run from the law on charges involving the alleged sexual assault of a child is in custody today in a California jail cell. Edward L. Fleming, 58, of 1336 Neva Road was arrested Tuesday and is awaiting extradition to Wisconsin where he stands accused of a felony sex crime which could potentially put him behind prison bars for the next 60 years. Mr. Pavek , as you call him,will, if he lives through the 1.5, will have been abused so by the population ,that he will have suffered greatly. Sadly, this type of offender is not rehabilitable ,and ,if he shows remorse, is feigning. This current offender, the clergyman, will also be a target in jail. Both of them could do the world a favor, and take their own lives with less pain than their jail mates will inflict.In the future, when the corrupt war on drugs has ended, law enforcement will have some higher calibre officers with time to focus on real crimes with victims .

Where have you been man? Sounds great to type it out. However fact remains that most of those pedophiles are protected by the guards while they are doing "their" time. Not to mention in the Oshkosh prison the pedophiles have their own unit segregated from gen pop complete with a pond. While I wish they all were taken to the top the the Green Bay dorms and thrown off tiers. That simply isn't the case. They certainly won't get much hell from the other offenders waiting in the county jail with them. Because at any given time the majority of those around them are either in for similar crimes and or are snitches and hiding from their own skeletons in their own closets. Some times on occasion a real person will check them or put the hurt on them. Fact is there aren't many real people anymore.

thats just what you all dont understand, they dont get targeted. they are not mr. popularity, but at the same time are not beaten and raped as some people want us to believe. i believe they are the scum of the planet, at the same time though, if an accurate depiction of their treatment inside prison is to be "made public" then it needs to be done accurately.

Protected by the guards? You are quite naive. One in a million guards maybe. Most are nastier than the inmates and relish them fighting when they are not dealing contraband to them. Where have I been? The average IQ of guards is pretty low. They are often sadists.Many deal contraband. You think prison is secure? It is impossible to keep drugs and cell phones out. Impossible. Only an idiot would think it is possible to keep contraband off the streets when it is so prevalent in maximum security.

By all means please expound on your life experiences regarding this matter. That you can state what you've said as fact is laughable. Where did you do your time? Or where were you a guard? I personally don't believe you were either and are simply parroting what you "believe" to happen to those sick kiddy fiddlers. With no real knowledge of what you speak. Fact: In the Wisconsin system unless you are in a maximum facility there is very little chance of anything happening to one of those sickos. Sure someone may taunt them. Or yell names out. However actual physical assault on one of the pedos rarely happens.

Several inmates I have talked to have stated that for those doing time, dealing drugs for a guard is as good as it gets.One guard I know said; " guards go on vacation" when I asked her about that.

I think that a great deal has been missed here. First, I would like to know when he will be in court here. I, as many others, would like to go and watch the minimal public humiliation that this pervert is going to go through. I wouldn't mind "booing" at him either. Second, we hear a lot about him but what about his wife and family that helped him commit this crime against this little girl, then to flea to another state and, to hide him in their homes. His wife lied to police and federal authorities about his whereabouts and having contact with him... for God's sake, she was on her way to a plane to go to him when he was arrested! Where are her charges? He was hiding with religious fanatics in California and in the homes of family members. I understand why the US Marshals didn't want to go in sooner, not wanting to have another Ruby Ridge, but still. Where are the charges against the people who hid him this entire time, knowing that he was a wanted "man" accused of sexually abusing a little girl??? Then there is his church. The elders within his church were advised of the charges against him and his active warrant, however they never took him off active pastor status. They turned a blind eye to the charges and his flight.

As for the statement about pedophiles being segregated from gen pop, this statement is true. I suppose this was done to reduce the number of prisoner-on-prisoner assaults in the state prisons. As funny as it sounds, there is a prisoner code of conduct. Murder, rape and robbery are all acceptable crimes against humanity, but sexual and/or physical crimes against children are not.

I sincerely hope that someone "forgets" to put him in his cage, or leaves his cell open when the cleaning crew comes through, or accidentally leaves him in the yard or infirmary when gen pop prisoners come through. The damage they would do to him would be poetic justice.

I think what really matters is that he is caught and now he will be going to court to face up to what he did.

I also think that the person we should focus on is the victim. She is a pre-K student and has suffered greatly because of this person. We should be concerned with how to best help her and her family get through these times.

I'm sorry u feel that way but this mom is not on state everything she gets food stamps and badger care the ex husband pays some times she was working a full time job until she lost it because of her daughter's sever problems styming from what happened the little girl is in a special treatment center type school she has many many appointments every week which badger care and fs don't pay again for gas meals while away from home parking and much more this mom never asked for anything from anyone her friends and family set up that account hoping to help her we see the struggles every day with the family. How would u feel if first a horrible unthinkable act is taken on ur baby girl then as u watch in horror ur life go in a spiralle down hill everyone stand back and judge. This mom currently does NOT BUY WHAT THEY DON'T NEED, diapers and food toilet paper all needs this mom tried finding work only to not beable to place het child in regular care and noone will hire with the amount of days and times she needs off to be available to her daughter's healing Fred took much more than her innocence
