Close to a dozen squad cars made traffic stops within the Antigo city limits during the late morning and early afternoon Wednesday as part of a special traffic enforcement detail.
“I thought it went pretty well,” Antigo Police Chief Eric Roller said.
Conducted in cooperation with the Wisconsin State Patrol, the operation focused on traffic law violations and the transportation of illegal drugs. Two canines capable of sniffing out contraband were among the law enforcement units involved in the patrol.
