An Antigo woman has been arrested and charged in connection with an undercover drug deal involving the alleged sale of suspected bath salts.
Christy M. Hicks, 36, of 1570 1/2 Neva Road remains in custody at the Langlade County Jail charged with two felony counts, particularly the distribution of a hazardous substance.

It is not a good idea to post your name when commenting on the latest activities of the subject. The people who associate with her are the absolute underbelly of the town NOT nice folks. They are the problem with the town and it is great the police are cleaning things up a little.

Agreed! It's a nice change to see the Police are finally arresting more of the drug dealers and junkies. Hope they throw the book at them & make them spend jail time so they learn that it won't be tolerated anymore. Slapping them on the wrist and letting them off when most have young children or teens to raise are only going back and setting poor examples for another generation to watch if the justice system goes lenient on them. After they spend the jail time they rightfully earned. Then send them through & require drug rehabilitation & regular home checks during early morning & evening hours and on the weekends. I have witnessed far too many people in the Antigo system who have P.O.'s or social workers who work 8-5 structured hours and who won't bother to work one second after that even if a child's safety may be at risk. Substance abusers and drug dealers have track records of illegal activities. If they know you don't get your lazy butts off the office chair DURRING your shift. Then that means guess who gets to party and continue to do drugs or abuse alcohol after it? I've worked in many places that there have been drug users. Do you know how many lunch conversations I have over heard from people who have P.O.'s, social workers, home checks or on ankle bracelet who STILL do drugs or drink or wander? They do it because they are sneaky and believe it or not can be motivated to be cunning mathematiicians when their drug of choice is calling! How much can I use or drink before it is out of my system before my most often SCHEDULED P.O. or Soc. comes to visit? How much water do I need to drink to flush the alcohol or marijuana out to clear a piss test. They even go as far as to have a DD's (designated donors) piss or will buy kits online to give clear readings. If everyone in the justice system changed things up a bit and took your jobs as civil servants seriously and adheared to the law you swore to uphold. You could clean up this town in short order.

I think some of the problem is who is going to pay for the P.O's time, I have heard they don't have a lot of time to monitor people all the time. Most likely would have to come from tax dollars, I doubt a whole lot of people on probation will be able to or would be willing to pay for that. If Police could be more trustworthy maybe a check from them from time to time would be an idea but the problem there is they make up too much stuff and twist up your words. Fine if it gets drugs off the streets but not fine when all they are doing is being a nuisance and creating crime that never was

You are full of it! They are so guilty of "making up crimes" that the FBI came through and did a mass bust twice already! Little small time Antigo even made national new on CNN. Welcome to the big time! I don't know of anyone, that includes the police that are holding a gun to anyone's heads and making them smoke or buy bath salts. You need your head examined. Oh and most PO jobs are paid salary, not hourly. They have plenty of time are paid well, but many are lazy. The ones who suffer the most from this are the children of these druggie losers.

unfortunately I know more than I want about this topic. I have a relative who runs in this woman's circle. This person is nothing but constant misery for the family stealing from and abusing the parents, unable to keep a job or support themselves. A trip to the slammer would be a blessing for this family.

I applaud anyone who seeks help with addiction problems that's great. But what do you do with a family member who really just does not want it? Help has been offered at every turn to this relative who is a friend of Christy and they have no interest. Jail time may not help this person but it is a great relief to this persons family. When this relative is in jail everyone gets a break from the constant abuse and misery this individual dishes out. I once had sympathy but it has left me now and I know you can not help someone who is not interested. I hope this woman changes and gets help for her problem but her track record and my own experience doubt it very much. If you constantly violate the law you go to jail its just how it works.

hello, to everyone out there. THIS IS NOT TRUE! IT NEVER HAPPENED. THEY DID NOT CALL THE COPS. i DID infact call the cops about this! I cant believe someone would even write this about someone else! Cops looked at videos of shell and i did inform my probation officer. I HAVE GOTTEN DRUG TESTS EVERY WEEK FOR THE LAST 2 MONTHS! Everyone can think what they would like. BUT it only matters what the truth is. And to whoever wrote that. i hope you feel good about trying to mess up someone elses life when they have done nothing to you. THANK YOU. have a good day.

I am really nice. I'm also nicely irritated that this garbage introduced some of my loved ones to the drug scene. See how nice & cold that makes you feel once you find out she gave yours drugs too. If I am judgemental, that's my prerogative. This is Anna's own doing & I'll face God on my own terms in the end for being forced into this hell that she caused. Hello to everyone. I did report this girl. I didn't have time right away with my weekend plans with a wedding to rush to. But I'm assuring everyone that I wrote a letter to the D.E.A. and then also to the State of Wisconsin after finding out this girl has an innocent baby that could be harmed in her care. I did it this way so they are made aware of how bad this girl is. I knew local officials would prob not take me seriously or might not do what is needed to protect the community & this girl's baby so I did it this way to make them accountable. I've been seeing far to many people who are like this lying girl that deny everything, get caught, get off with no real punishment and then continue on endangering innocent lives. Ps- please go to rehab taco sauce! I'm praying for you.

Wallowing in the denial of your obviously out of control drug problems will only hurt you. Let me say this. It is perfectly normal for you to react with lies, rage and out bursts towards me. I expected this but I won't hold it against you. I know that you have a severe drug problem from our encounter and are prob not thinking straight right now. I've heard from watching intervention programs on TV that The first step to recovering from this or any addiction is admitting that you have a problem. We both know what happened in the bathroom and I'm sorry if now you are embarrassed by this. I will continue to pray for you and your baby. Think about what I've said. whether it happened or not is one matter but given the past of the lady mentioned and the extreme details of the story. It is understandable if some people thought it to be true. The only way to clean this type of gossip up about yourself is to not do it in the first place. what you do not realize is that there are victims of society out there where the police believe a false statement and set traps, these people do nothing illegal to get that attention from the police other than follow thru with what the police asked them and convinced them to do, and then have to deal with life changing circumstances. a crime made up without never one time going or doing anything to look for that situation

Say all you want. I pass all drug tests. I have a full time job and busy from 5am to 6pm for work thank you. Some of us can actually straighten up for the things that mean the world to us. Yes I have a bad past. But it's not the past anymore only the future can come. I would appreciate it if I didn't need to call the cops again for harassment.
