The City of Kewaunee has a new mayor.   City Council member Sandi Christman defeated incumbent mayor John Blaha by a vote of 650 to 453, with candidate John T. Griffith picking up 69 votes.

In a Kewaunee County election upset, Mary "Mimi" Dobbins defeated Kewaunee County Board Chairman Ron Heuer by a vote of 260 to 192 in the county supervisor District 12 race.

      

DNR approves Pagel wastewater permit

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) said Monday that it has approved the permit requested by Pagel's Ponderosa Dairy that includes the possibility of spraying manure on identified fields using two center-pivot systems.
