CHIPPEWA FALLS — Charlotte M. Kern, 93, of Chippewa Falls died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire.

After a long and fulfilling life, our beloved Clarence Forer passed away on August 13, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Clarence was born on January 24, 1935 to George and Margaret Forer.

Sgt. Jack Holhfeld was born July 2, 1907, and died as a prisoner of war at the Cabanatuan Prison Camp in the Philippines during WWII on December 26, 1942, at the age 35.
