Milwaukee girl struck by stray bullet dies

  MILWAUKEE (AP) - The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office says a 9-year-old girl who was struck earlier this month by a bullet fired from outside her home has died. The operations manager for the office says Za'layia Jenkins was pronounced dead at a children's hospital at 5 p.m. Monday. The girl was shot May 5 as she watched television in her home while police say two groups outside were engaged in a "shootout."
