Louisville already had the bigger names, the better team and some unfinished business after coming up short in last year's Final Four.

All Wichita State had was the cute-and-cuddly underdog angle. Now, the Shockers don't even have that.

Quinton Patton couldn't help himself. He never can. When Louisiana Tech took the field for warm-ups at Illinois last fall, Patton spotted a group of recruits. They looked so hopeful, so impressionable, so excited to enroll at Illinois. For Patton, they were fresh meat. The wide receiver trotted by and did what he does best. Talk.

Atlanta - Earlier this week, John Beilein was asked to say a few words about the season he spent coaching Nazareth College - 30 years ago.

Kevin Ware is pretty certain how his next few months will play out.

"After we win the national championship," the injured Louisville guard said with a smile on his face, "I'm just looking forward to rehab."

The entire basketball program at Wichita State runs on what Louisville coach Rick Pitino makes in a single year, with money left over to purchase plenty of trophy cases for Final Four hardware.
