(2) Brodhead 3, (6) Laconia 1: The sixth-seeded Spartans' season came to an end after falling to the second-seeded Cardinals in a Division 3 regional final.

(3) Waupun 3, (2) Fox Valley Lutheran 0: The third-seeded Warriors won the regional title by sweeping the second-ranked Foxes in a game played at FVL.

(1) Oostburg 3, (4) Springs 1: The Ledgers fell to Division 3 reigning champion Oostburg in four games in a game played at Oostburg.

(1) KML 3, (5) Campbellsport 0: Top-ranked Kettle Moraine Lutheran was too much for the Cougars, winning the Division 2 regional final 25-20, 25-12, 25-14.

(1) Neenah 3, (8) Fond du Lac 0: The top-ranked Rockets were too much for the Cardinals, sweeping Fondy 25-14, 25-10 and 25-5 in the Division 1 regional semifinal.

At Amherst: The Laconia boys country team will head to state after finishing just one point ahead of third place Brillion to qualify.

In the Division 2 sectional held at Mayville, Waupun's Matt Kuik and Bryce Verheyen earned a trip to state after each qualified individually.

After just missing a trip to state last year, the St. Mary's Springs girls cross country team got it done at Saturday's division 3 sectional at Sheboygan Lutheran. The sixth-ranked Ledgers finished as runner-up, sending them to the state meet next Saturday at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.

(6) WLA 34, (3) Northern Elite (Niagra) 21: Winnebago Lutheran Academy made the 160-mile bus ride up to Niagara Friday night, and it made it worth the while.

Justin Maratik won't forget the last carry he had Friday night any time soon. It only gained three yards near midfield, but its importance can't be understated.

In a game that featured two of the top three running backs in the state, you expected to see a lot of Pardeeville's Kyle Becker and St. Mary's Springs' Ike Floyd.

(6) Campbellsport 22, (3) Wrightstown 6: Cougars' Alex Zommers scored twice while the defense limited the Tigers to 109 yards rushing to pull the upset in the Division 4 Level 1 playoff.

(4) Laconia 21, (5) Cambridge 7: Spartans' Levin Vande Berg rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns as the Spartans topped the fifth-seeded in a Division 5 Level 1 playoff game played at home.

Fond du Lac's Annie Moore and Megan Buechel will be heading to state after both qualified individually in the Division 1 cross country sectional, which was held at Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne.

You could tell the Fond du Lac volleyball team was a little skittish Thursday night, as they made a number of unforced errors in the first set allowing Oshkosh North to jump out 1-0 lead.

Senior Luke Jansen scored his 34th and 35th goals of the year as the top-seeded Central Wisconsin Christian boys soccer team advanced to its third straight sectional final game with a 3-0 win over (3) St. Lawrence Seminary Thursday night at Mulder Field in Waupun.
