Students present, learn about sustainability

NEWBOLD - Earth day can often remind people to better take care of the environment. At the sustainability fair in Newbold, students got to teach people about projects that help the Earth.

Each student focused on different topics. Some showed people how to make art from recycled materials. Others tried to explain specific things in nature like volcanoes.

"They need to make sure they're versed enough in their topic," says Elizabeth Sweet, a science advisor at the Northwoods Community Secondary School. "Also, [they can] walk around and learn about the different things that are available, not only to them in their community, but also outside their community. What people are doing to help the Earth."
