So, I was watching some news show tonight (I think it was 60 minutes) and the topic was credit reporting agencies and how it is next to impossible to get errors on your credit report fixed.
As the story went on, one of the persons had to literally sue the credit reporting agencies to get her information corrected.
I find this to be another prime example of an agency who is supposedly following the rules set forth by the government, but yet, there is no accountability. There is no person, it seems, that can actually correct information when it is wrong.
Another bit of information that I found interesting was that the credit report that is given to the consumer is different from the one given to a bank or finance company. So, what is the point of even getting your credit report if you aren't seeing the same things as the creditors.
I find the whole thing to be a complete SCAM and the whole stupid process should be stopped immediately.
How can this go on? How can the people of this country not see how completely ludicrous it is and DEMAND that the process be completely revamped.

The problem is that we, as a society, are reliant on credit, and we shouldn't be, but, it is something we have learned from our government. They have shown us that it's okay to buy things on credit, even though you can't afford it and possibly can't pay it back.
Stop using credit, use cash and you won't have a problem.

Good luck trying to buy a brand new car with cash. Unless you're rich, you'll never have enough money. The piece of s--t car you drive while saving money will break down, and you'll have to dip into your "car fund" to pay for the repairs.

@Bulls--it - I guess you just don't get it.
If you don't have the money for a car, you shouldn't be buying one, let alone a new one.
If the car you can afford breaks down, well you probably would have the money to fix it since you aren't making a car payment.
It's called living within your means.
